Who created Bartowpolitics.com?
This website is maintained by Michael and Melissa Huneke. Michael served on the Bartow County Republican Party Executive Committee from March 2003-March 2011, serving as chairman from 2005-2011. He spent 11 years working in the Bartow County School System and is currently employed at the State Department of Education. Melissa is a stay at home mom who enjoys politics and helping Michael with all of his endeavors. They have 3 daughters and have lived in Bartow County since 1998.
Why create Bartowpolitics.com?
From Michael Huneke: As I stepped out of my role as Bartow County Republican Party Chairman in March of 2011 after 6 years, my wife and I began contemplating what might come next for us. After much thought and many prayers, we felt that what this community needed most was a place for voters to educate themselves on all of their choices at election time and a place to find out how to connect with their elected officials. We seek to provide information for Bartow County residents on all races and office holders, partisan and non-partisan, in order to facilitate intelligent choices by an informed electorate at our online political information center.
